Write for us
Prime Conversation welcomes pitches that explain an aspect of sporting culture with precision and a clear point of view. We are interested in pieces that help readers understand a term, tradition, format, place or shared ritual without needing to be experts.
What to pitch
Send a short proposal about one focused subject, such as how a sporting expression is used, why a matchday custom matters, or what a particular format changes for spectators. Explain the central idea, why it suits Prime Conversation and what a reader will understand by the end. We welcome fresh angles, not rewrites of material already published here.
A strong contribution
A good piece distinguishes established facts from interpretation, explains specialist language when it first appears and avoids treating one club, country or sport as a universal example. Keep the argument grounded, make comparisons fair and avoid unsupported claims, promotional copy or advice that depends on local rules.
How to send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include a proposed title, a brief outline and any relevant links or source notes. Please send a proposal rather than a full unsolicited article; we will consider its fit and clarity before discussing a draft.
